From May 23 to 26, 2023, the Galileo Conference "Solid Earth and Geohazards in the Exascale Era" will take place in Barcelona. The goal is to bring together some of the world's best minds in various branches of computational geosciences to address the challenges and issues of Exascale computing.

The event, supported by the European Geosciences Union and endorsed by the ChEESE Center of Excellence, will be divided into four topics:

  1. Preparation and optimization of HPC codes for Exascale;
  2. Edge-to-end data flows;
  3. State of the art in computational geosciences;
  4. Horizon Europe and EuroHPC policies.
