From January 30 to February 3, the seventh Costa Rican High Performance Computing School (CRHPCS) was held in Pavas, San Jose, Costa Rica.

A team of international experts gave sessions on shared memory programming, distributed memory programming, accelerator programming and high performance computing. Alessandro Marani and Nitin Shukla from Cineca's HPC User Support also spoke about parallel programming with MPI and OpenMP.

As a European center, Cineca is committed to spreading the word about high-performance computing (HPC). This collaboration also confirms the partnership between the European HPC and the Latin American HPC center.
