The Advanced School of Computer Graphics for Cultural Heritage is an intense, 5 day, graduate level course in advancend computer graphics in the field of Virtual Cultural Heritage.
- Modeling cultural scenarios in an open pipeline from archeological and historical sources
- The Blender pipeline: from the storyboard to a 3d stereo movie
- CINECA Blender Render Farm
- Cultural scenarios and a transmedial approach among cinema, web, TV, mobile devices
One edition is scheduled for 2012.
Edition: October, 8-12. The official language will be English.
The school aims at completing and deepening the training of graduate students, Phd students and young researchers in order to develop advancend computer graphics tools for Virtual Cultural Heritage.
The number of partecipants is limited to 20 students. Applicants will be selected according to their experience and qualifications. Basic knowledge of computer graphics is required.
Attendance is free. Grants up to 250 EUR are available for partecipants not funded by their institution and not coming from the Bologna area. Lunch will be provided by CINECA.

Professional stages: In order to complete the training, up to 3 partecipants could be offered an apprenticeship of 3 months at CINECA. The applicants will be involved in the development of computational projects and will receive a financial contribution of 600 EUR per month.
How to reach us: The school will be held at the CINECA supercomputing center, via Magnanelli 6/3, Casalecchio di Reno (Bologna), from monday to friday of each week. CINECA is located 9 Km from the Bologna Airport, 12 Km from the centre of Bologna. More details.
