The EUNIS Rector Conference "Higher Education Challenges and Priorities: Information Technology as
a lever for competiveness" will take place on May 24-26
2012 - Prague, Czech Republic.
This conference is the most
important gathering of university Rectors, Presidents, Vice Chancellors or
their representatives from across Europe
to discuss strategy, policy, organization and management issues for higher
education and the role of Information Technologies
in enabling higher education institutions to succeed in a cooperative and
competitive globalized world.
The professor Emilio Ferrari, president of Cineca, will present
the experience achieved by the Consortium in developing IT solutions for
the Italian Academic System.
The
conference is organized by EUNIS (European University Information Systems
organisation) and hosted in the historical Malostransky and Kaiserstein palaces.
The
programme will focus on enhancement of the major university management
functions by utilising the most challenging information technologies and
practices
The conference is aimed at
university leaders and therefore the sessions will have a strategic rather than
technical focus and will try to give answers to a number of questions, which

an overview on how Cineca and Kion have been supporting Italian and Turkish
universities to implement IT solutions, innovate services and find real benefits.
The conference
will also provide the opportunity for mutual interchange of experience among participants.
Besides the high quality professional programme the conference will also offer
