Load Balanced Farms

An architecture to ensure scalability and resources consolidation

This architecture has been adopted for ensuring scalability, availability and resources consolidation.
The first tier of this architecture contains the Load balancers in high availability configuration.

Load balancers

The data are maintained on GPFS (General Parallel FileSystem), in high availability configuration; all the nodes share the same filesystems, containing data and applications for a specific service.
In this way each node can potentially be used to run all services of all farms.

Dynamic load distribution

Dynamic load distribution

In case the specific service A needs more resources, it is possible to dynamically redistribute the nodes in a simple way.
