Cineca is organised in Departments which collaborate in a constant exchange of skills and resources.
We introduce them here briefly.
The Systems and Technologies department main task is to design, develop and manage the Cineca IT systems and network structures. Following one of Cineca's original missions (the transfer of knowledge and innovative technologies to the outside), it is capable of making a wide range of skills and experiences available in the IT systems area. Moreover the Department offers support to scientific and technological research through supercomputing and its applications.
The Solutions and Services for the University Administration Department is responsible for support to university administrations through the development of management systems; it is composed of several sectors which deal with the management of Integrated University Accounting, University Careers and Salaries, Student Services, Administrative Offices and Teaching.
Services for the Italian Ministry of University and Research, studies and creates systems for the interaction and exchange of information between the Ministry of Education, University and Research and the national academic system.
Information and Knowledge Management Services deals with the management of large amounts of data for complex organisations, developing advanced data analysis systems.
Health Care Systems Department develops systems for the management and sharing of data in the biomedical and health sectors.
The Business Development staff, which goal is to improve market relations (especially those with the non-institutional market) and the group responsible for Personnel and Administration management operate across the entire organization.
